Sustainability-Focused Athlete Campaigns

Connecting climate-conscious athletes with purpose-driven brands and producing the content that makes those partnerships work.

The Problem

Sustainability is complex and easy to miscommunicate.

Brands risk accusations of greenwashing or, increasingly, choose silence to avoid political backlash.

Meanwhile, athletes are motivated to engage on climate action but lack structured, low-risk avenues to do so credibly.

What We Do

We take sustainability-athlete campaigns from strategy to screen.

(1) Athlete Curation

(2) Campaign Development

(3) Content Production

TLG is a specialist campaign practice. We design the campaign, curate the athlete, direct the production, and deliver the content under one roof, with sustainability fluency built into every step.

Our Core Offerings:

We match athletes to your sustainability message by story fit and values. Our bench of 70+ athletes spans 20+ sports globally.

We turn your brand's sustainability truth into a campaign story athletes can tell authentically and build the campaign blueprint: content formats, platform strategy, timeline, and a real-world impact layer.

TLG directs. Production is handled by our vetted freelance partners matched to each campaign.

Who We Work With

For brands with a real sustainability story to tell.

You've done the work: the certifications, the commitments, the proof points. Now you need to communicate it in a way people actually believe.

TLG brings the athlete who can tell your story credibly, the campaign structure to make it land, and the production capability to bring it to life.

For athletes…

You didn't get this far to say nothing.

You already have a platform, a story, and an audience that trusts you. TLG helps you direct that toward the brands and causes that actually match your values.

We don't represent you. We connect you with brands that mean it, structure the campaign so your voice stays authentic, and help you build a sustainability identity that outlasts your sport.

Our Founding Story

Louisa Freeman, Founder & Director of The Long Game.

The Long Game was founded by former Division I athlete and All-American rower Louisa Freeman, a sustainability strategist with nearly a decade of experience helping brands, startups, and institutions navigate the transition toward more responsible business models.

While completing her graduate studies in Sustainability Management at Columbia University, Louisa was inspired to engage athletes and spent 9 months speaking to as many athletes, agents, and sustainability leaders across global sport to understand what athlete engagement on climate looks like today.

A consistent pattern emerged:

  • Athletes want more purpose-driven sponsorships.

  • Brands want credible voices without reputational risk.

  • There was no trusted system connecting the two.

The Long Game was built to fill that gap.
