Our Founding Story
Founded by former Division I athlete and sustainability strategist Louisa Freeman, The Long Game was built on the belief that athletes have unmatched power to inspire change — they just need the platform to tell their story.
After years working at the intersection of sports and sustainability — from leading athlete-driven green initiatives at the University of Michigan to collaborating with the Green Sports Alliance — Louisa recognized a clear gap: brands were seeking credible voices, and athletes were seeking meaningful opportunities.
Inspired during Climate Week NYC and the Sport Positive Summit, where storytelling and climate action collided, The Long Game emerged as a bridge — connecting climate-conscious athletes with purpose-driven brands and co-producing media that inspires fans to act.
